LAYERED LEARNING
Location: Shenzhen
Recently, the construction of schools in Shenzhen has been faced with narrow and strict restrictions on land use. Architects have been leveraging both above and underground spaces to maximize the value of land and fall into the "maze-like" space. This project aims to return to the basics, through a series of strategies, sort out complex functional requirements, and create an open and sparse campus space. In the cramped and high-density city, the design concept of "childhood deck" was proposed to create a courtyard-style campus space for students to run, play, study and socialize freely.
