Collaboration: CM Design

A series of site research comes up with four kinds of status quo Shuibei block development challenges. Main street overloads urban functions, traffic chaos destroys the pedestrian experience, homogeneous block space loses personality, and closed block blocks block the connection between the jewelry industry and the street.

The planning and design hope to activate the inner blocks as catalysts, release the functional pressure of Shuibei Main Street, and finally activate the spatial vitality of Shuibei street. Following the principles of location, landing, and stage, the design puts forward three visions to relieve pressure on the urban main road, reconnect the relationship between industry and street, and finally create a new image of Shuibei block. Therefore, the planning and design concept of perfect connection is put forward. Through the transformation of two horizontal and one vertical main street and six nodes of inner blocks, the block memory points are created by artistic actions and lighting actions, and the new image of Shuibei is conceived.
